Hello! I’m Eleanor Warren-Thomas, a research scientist interested in the difficult trade-offs we negotiate in biodiversity and environmental conservation.
I currently hold a NERC-IIASA Collaborative Research Fellowship at Bangor University, Wales, working with Dr Isabel Rosa and Prof. Julia Jones, and collaborating with the Ecosystem Services and Management program at IIASA. My current work focuses on land-use modelling and tropical forest restoration scenarios, but I have also done plenty of field ecology.
I have previously worked as a Research Associate at CEH Bangor and as a post-doc at the University of York with Professor Jane Hill. I conducted my PhD research with Professors Paul Dolman and David Edwards at the University of East Anglia, UK.
